Position Summary

 

 

 

The Account Manager will be responsible for strategic prospecting within the industry thereby securing annual sales targets for the business through the development of new & existing business from Pharma accounts within all core therapeutic areas. The Account Manager will be responsible for generating leads and capitalize on these leads by providing an offering that suits our customers' needs using Elsevier's core assets (Content, Reach and Credibility).

What should you have to be successful in this role?

 

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape in Australia market
  • Sales/Marketing experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry and/or Healthcare Industry (Agencies, Life Science, Medical Communication) will give you an edge as you will have an understanding of the workflow and clients
  • Healthcare Advertising sales experience will be an advantage
  • Commercial acumen with proven track record in business development and account management, including solid history of revenue building will help being successful in this role
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive level
  • Desire to progress your career into sales management

 

If you hold the above with excellent relationship-building skills as well as the ability to work closely with local and global editorial or marketing teams then this might just be the role for you!

 

What will you do as Account Manager – Pharma Solutions?

 

  • Identify and develop new Pharma accounts within a dedicated territory, with a focus on pharma affiliates
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with existing key accounts, customer stakeholders and thereby identify growth opportunities and maximizing revenue
  • Drive the consultative sales process and maintaining strong productive customer relationships to keep customers informed of new relevant products and services
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and production team to ensure we are positioned well in the target segment and for ensuring successful penetration
  • Establishing and monitoring sales priorities, targets and objectives in the context of the overall corporate sales strategy
